This work has been carried out in order to investigate the ameliorative effect of olive leaf and pomegranate peel in oxytetracycline (OTC)-induced liver injury in albino rats. The antioxidant potential was carried out using the ethanolic extract of olive leaf (OLE) and pomegranate peel (PPE). DPPH radical scavenging assay and total phenolic contents methods proved the antioxidant potency of OLE and PPE. In vitro studies using the different biochemical techniques, antioxidant parameters and the antimutagenic activity of the tested plants by DNA fragmentation assay proved that OTC caused a significant increase in all parameters concerned the liver toxicity while treatment of OLE and PPE caused an amliorative effect on this toxicity
