Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Endodontics Summary: This study was designed as randomized control trial to compare between the effect of pulpoter calcium hydroxide dressings on interapointmant pain relief for symptamtic postonior teeth with acute pulpitis and penidoatitis. 44 patients were randomly chosen to receive the dnessing randomly then they were divided into 2 groups depending on type of dressing. pain was measured using (VAS) scale before treatment and 8, 12, 24 and 48 hrs after. Follow up was done using x-rays at 1,3 and 6 months. It was proved that pulpotec is more effective in pain relief for the complete follow up period in comparison to calcium heydroxide
