Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering Summary: In this research, the pushover analysis technique is used to evaluate the seismic performance of both RC and PT flat slab buildings, which is also compared with RC frame buildings. For all buildings types, pushover curves are developed and target displacements are calculated. This target displacement is used to evaluate the seismic performance for each building. Comparisons of seismic performance results for all buildings are presented. Finally, the effects of different parameters on the seismic performance are investigated, mainly ESW, GSR and the slab bottom reinforcement
