Our aim from this study is to describe our experience comparing two techniques of sternal closure, the simple versus figure of eight in obese patients for fear of developing sternal dehiscence after CABG . Results: there was no significant difference in age and sex between the 2 groups, but patients with low EF or prolonged mechanical ventilation and ICU stay simple wire technique was more significant regarding both techniques in obese patient simple wire technique was found more superior to figure of eight regarding stability (P 0.032)
