Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering Summary: Thesis presents a comparative study on the effect of Frame system on braced and un-braced building equation of Egyptian code of practice. The effect of FEM modeling assumptions and code provisions on frame system of RC buildings is studied. These assumptions are: (i) height of floor, (ii) Column inertia, (iii) Beam inertia, (iv) number of floors, (v) number of bays, (vi) length of bays. The effect of frame system on the code equation of braced and un-braced building equation on RC buildings is studied. Importance of contribute the frame system in equation of braced and un-braced was demonstrated.
