Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Institute of Statistical Studies and Research - Department of Mathematical Statistics Summary: Life test sampling is concerned with either accepting or rejecting a collection of items (or a lot) for the purpose of reliability assurance. For an efficient and effective implementation of life test sampling, it should be appropriately planned in advance in terms of the life test procedures and rules for the disposition of a lot based on the sampled data (e.g., lifetimes and/or number of failures). The objective of this dissertation is to propose life test sampling plans (LSPs) for Weibull (extreme value) distribution under progressive type-I interval censoring. We will assume that the removal number of items from the life test at any time inspection is fixed and the same suggested procedure of acceptance sampling for Schneider (1989) will be employed to the proposed LSPs
