Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Archaeology - Department of Egyptology Summary: The study of early Demotic texts which extend from 26 Dynasty to 30 Dynasty is an important study because it sheds light on the evolution of signs from Hieratic to Demotic, Middle Egypt has a large amount of Demotic texts which are dated to this period, it were written on Papyri, Ostraca, Linen and Limestone.Therefore the researcher wants to study the Palaeographical feature to this period in Middle Egypt. The most important results of this study:Through this study it can be concluded that the Demotic script has gone through a gradual steps.There are some forms which are identical to the Hieratic forms in Demotic texts during the reign of Psametik I.Change the direction of writing some lines in some of the signs is one of the factors of Palaeographical evolution in Demotic.Some Demotic forms are written by the same lines of Hieratic form but in different style. - Style of writing lines of some of the signs especially during the reign of Psametik I is one of the factors of Palaeographical evolution in Demotic. - Some Demotic forms are similar to the Abnormal Hieratic forms during the reign of Psametik I.
