Many factors affect the proper repair type including type of repair and type of meshes. In the last few years many new and promising technologies were developed regarding types of meshes and drains. Treatment options include surgical procedures (open or laparoscopic hernia repair) or nonsurgical (watchful waiting and truss) is an option for adults with hernias that are reducible and not uncomfortable
