Palpable thyroid nodule is a common reason for seeking medical advice all over the world. It occurs in 4{u2013}7% of the population Aim of work: Study the incidence of various thyroid lesions diagnosed by FNAC in Kasr Al-aini hospital, Correlate the results of FNAC of these patients with histological diagnosis when available. Materials and methods: 305 cases of thyroid lesions aspiration examined at the Cytology unit of Pathology department , Kasr AL- Aaini hospital, Cairo University from January 2012 to December 2013. All available slides stained with Papanicolaou stains, hematoxylin and eosin were examined and categorized according to Bethesda into 6 groups: Unsatisfactory, Benign, Atypia of undetermined significance, Suspicious for follicular neoplasm, Suspicious for malignancy, and Malignant
