To detect the effect of short term course indomethacin in preterm labour. 30 pregnant women, complaining of thereat end preterm labour, with singleton pregnancy of 28 - 34 weeks{u2019} gestation (calculated from the 1st day of LMP), patients were recruited from the antenatal out patient clinic of Kasr Alainy hospital, they received 50mg rectal indomethacin twice daily after examined by ultrasonography, Doppler. 80%of the patients complete their pregnancy after stoppage of contractions no significant changes in amniotic fluid volume, fetal renal artery doppler, umbilical artery doppler. Indomethacin is an effective tocolytic drug at 28 - 34 weeks
