Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - National Cancer Institute - Department of Surgical Oncology Summary: Our study conducted upon 80 patients compared two forms of cutaneous urinary diversion, 40 patients with ileal conduit and 40 patients with Indiana pouch, revealed that the Indiana pouch is viable and good alternatives as an ideal bladder substitute with better quality of life , well accepted , economically more suitable (no need for external bags), with good results in term of continence and accepted complications with satisfactory renal function

Our study conducted upon 80 patients compared two forms of cutaneous urinary diversion, 40 patients with ileal conduit and 40 patients with Indiana pouch, revealed that the Indiana pouch is viable and good alternatives as an ideal bladder substitute with better quality of life , well accepted , economically more suitable (no need for external bags), with good results in term of continence and accepted complications with satisfactory renal function
