Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Electronics and Communication Summary: We proposed three novel power minimization techniques in Cognitive Radio Sensor Networks (CRSN). First, we proposed a clustering algorithm that assigns all nodes to a given number of clusters- each with a Cluster Head (CH). Second, we proposed a relaying paradigm so as to minimize power and enhance lifetime. Finally, we proposed another power minimization technique in CRSN under interference constraints through Optimal Stopping Policy (OSP). Simulations proved that the three techniques outperform traditional transmission method as far as power minimization and dropped packet rate are mightily concerned
