Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Computers and Information - Department of Computers Science Summary: The goal of a summary is to produce a short representation of a long document [douzidia, lapalme, 2004]. This problem can be solved by building an abstract representation of the whole document and then generating a shorter text or by selecting a few relevant sentences of the original text [Hanane, 2013]. With a large volume of text documents, presenting the user with a summary of each document greatly facilitates the task of finding the desired documents. Different types and different approaches have been proposed for the summarization task most of which were considered potentially useful for the summarization task [lucas, 2008]. The study in hand, will adapt working with multiple-document language-independant summarization, our aim will be to produce a short summary that best suits both; the user{u2019}s criteria and the writer{u2019}s point of view
