Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Economic and Political Science - Department of Political Science Summary: The importance of the study emanates from the analysis of the methodology adopted by the British establishment to foster its national power position in Europe, in the Arabian Seas and Land in Africa and Asia, and in Central Asia. That{u2019}s in addition to analyzing the reasons behind launching the concurrent offensives against Afghanistan and Iraq in the aftermath of September 11 attacks. The study discusses the repercussions of theses wars on the major elements of the British military power on the scale of the nuclear, sea, air, space, and land capabilities. In addition, the study handles some of the main applications of cyber capabilities in modern warfare. That{u2019}s besides explaining the main concepts that directed the British defence policy in the preparation for the wars, and in the execution of land operations in post first territory control operations in both countries.
