Purpose: To determine the left ventricular function response to aerobic versus resistive training in patients with diabetic neuropathy. Methods: Thirty patients of both sexes (7 women and 23 men) with diabetic neuropathy were included in this study with an age range of 45 to 65 years old. They were chosen from outpatient clinic of internal medicine, Om Elmasryen General Hospital and Cairo University Hospital, with BMI from 25 to 39.9 kg/m2. They were divided into two groups equally Group (A) received aerobic training in form of cycling training twenty minutes /day, three days /week, for eight weeks. Group (B) received resistance training three days/week for eight weeks. Pre and post assessment by measuring the blood pressure and echocardiographic Imaging were done for all patients of the two groups. . Duration of the study was from September 2014 to April 2015. Results: There was statistical significance increase in EF, LVEDD and FS% in the end of the study when compared with the pretreatment values with improvement percentage in aerobic training group (12.11%), (53.86%) and (7.86%) respectively. And decrease in SBP and DBP with percentage (2.87%) and (3.53%). There was statistical significance increase in EF and FS% at the end of the study in resistance training group with improvement percentage (7.95%) and (7.86%).and decrease in SBP and DBP with percentage (4.14%)and (3.05%). And there was no significance difference in LVEDD in group B. Conclusion: It is concluded that aerobic training improves the left ventricular function response better than resistance training statistically
