Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Mechanical Power Engineering Summary: The airlines companies try to improve the air distribution systems inside the cabin to provide a healthy and comfortable environment for the passengers. The present research shows the effect of combining two air distribution systems. The two combined air distribution systems are the under-aisle air distribution system and the front-back personalized ventilation system with round-suction privacy shells around the passenger's head. Also, the present study shows the effect of using an air shield between the passengers at the floor level. The present numerical study was done by using ANSYS FLUENT 15.0 CFD computational fluid dynamics package
