In this thesis the effects of voltage sags on the three - phase rectifier of a voltage - source - inverter (VSI) - fed adjustable - speed drives are analyzed.These effects are dc voltage drop and ac current peaks.A detailed analysis of the behavior of adjustable - speed drives during voltage sags is presented in order to easily predetermine the worst effects of all types of voltage sags and try to ride through them
