It took interest in parental influence of a child{u2019}s DFA, particularly how parenting style, as categorized by Baumrind into Authoritative, Authoritarian, Permissive, would influence how a child behaves within the dental setting. Results: The correlation was weak for parental styles with the child{u2019}s clinical anxiety both before and during dental treatment. The correlation was negative for the authoritative parenting style and positive for the authoritarian parenting style both before and during treatment. The permissive parenting style on the other hand showed positive correlation with the clinical anxiety score before treatment and a negative one during dental treatment. There was a weak correlation of self-reported parental style with the child{u2019}s behavior during the dental visit
