Aim of the study : This study was conducted to: 1. Investigate the effect of sodium hypochlorite (5.25% NaOCl) followed by ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid (17% EDTA) as one irrigating protocol and chlorohexidine (CHX) as another irrigating solution on the surface characteristics of Revo-S and ProTaper Next nickel-titanium rotary files using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) after preparing three canals, and after preparing nine canals 2. Investigate the cutting efficiency of the Revo-S and ProTaper Next nickel-titanium rotary files by weighing the collected debris after instrumentation of three canals and after instrumentation of nine canals
