Sequence and dates of eruption of primary and permanent teeth are different in Egyptian children than that of other countries. Boys preceded girls in primary teeth eruption in certain teeth; lower lateral incisor, upper and lower canines and second molar. Girls preceded boys in permanent teeth eruption in certain teeth; upper and lower lateral incisor, lower canine, lower first premolar, upper first molar and lower second molar. All teeth in right side of jaws preceded teeth in left side of jaws in eruption date both in boys and girls in primary and permanent dentition except for lower permanent central incisor in girls where left side preceded right side and upper permanent first molar in both boys and girls at which there were insignificant differences between right and left sides. Chronological age and developmental age are not usually coincident with each others as it is evident in some children which denoted that important individual factors play a role in teeth eruption as hereditary factors and nutrition status of children. Pediatric dentists and orthodontists should depend on developmental age of children rather than chronological age when designing treatment plan in children
