Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering Summary: A mathematical model was employed to simulate the groundwater flow in the oasis till year 2050.Model results conclusion are: 1) groundwater yield will cover future water needs in the oasis till 2050. 2) Reclamation plan will affect the drawdown in the entire oasis to reach maximum value of 270 meters at the reclamation area with increase in salinity of 220 ppm. 3) High extraction rates from the Nubian aquifer from a zone in the east of Siwa oasis (i.e 5000 m3/hr) will cease the naturally flowing groundwater in this zone after nine months as well as effect on water salinity with depth in the same zone
