Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Prosthodontics Summary: This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of two thicknesses (0.8mm and 1.5mm) and thermocycling (5{u00B0}- 55{u00B0}C) on the color change (xE) and translucency parameter (TP) of CAD CAM Enamic hybrid ceramic compared to Mark II feldspathic porcelain. According to the sample size calculation, a total of 40 rectangular shape samples (18.4mm diagonal length) were constructed with the same shade (2M2) and translucency. The samples were divided into two equal groups (20 for each) according to the ceramic material: Group One (I): Vita enamic hybrid ceramic. Group Two (II): Vita mark II feldspathic ceramic. Each group were randomly subdivided into two equal sub groups (10 for each) according to the thickness: Sub Group A: Vita mark II feldspathic ceramic with 0.8 mm thickness (F1). Sub Group B: Vita enamic Hybrid ceramic with 1.5 mm thickness (H2). Sub Group C: Vita mark II feldspathic ceramic with 1.5 mm thickness (F2). Sub Group D: Vita enamic hybrid ceramic with 0.8 mm thickness (H1). The samples were milled using Isomet microsaw 4000 (Buehler, USA), which is a linear precision saw machine that cuts through the ceramic material CAD CAM blocks. After ultrasonic cleaning, finishing and polishing were carried out through manufacturer recommendation for each ceramic material tested
