Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - National Institute of Laser Enhanced Sciences - Department of Laser Application in Environmental Metrology Photochemistry and Agriculture Summary: Nanotechnology has introduce revolution in medicine either early diagnosis of diseases as well as therapeutics using nanomaterials as a drug carriers increase its efficacy and decrease its toxicity . Moreover using nanomaterial for drug delivery would control the releasse of the drug and its effect would be long lasting. Curcumin (bis (4-hyroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-1,6-heptadiene-3,5dione), a bioactive component of turmeric, which is a commonly used spice and nutritional supplement, is isolated from the rhizomed of Curcuma longa Linn. (Zingiberaceae).
