The WHO classified gliomas into low-grade gliomas (WHO grades I and II) and high-grade gliomas (WHO grades III and IV). GBM (WHO grade IV) is the most common type and represents 51% of primary gliomas; and also the most aggressive and most resistant to treatment. The median survival time for malignant gliomas WHO grade IV tumors is about 12 months
