Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Civil Engineering Summary: Flutter is the most aeroelastic phenomena that can made catastrophic effect for long span suspension bridges. The great belt east bridge was selected in this research which is now considered to be the second longest suspension bridge in the world for clarifying the flutter aerodynamic instability of it by the aid of ANSYS software. The {uFB02}utter analysis of the bridge is conducted to provide a theoretical reference for {uFB02}utter analysis of suspension bridges and determining whether the finite element can lead to a reduction in the number of expensive physical model tests
