Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics Summary: This study included 600 females planned for elecetive CS. They were divided into three groups as follow: Group A: given oxytocin bolus only, Group B: given ocytcin bolus plus infusion and Group C: given misoprostol intrauterine. The mean age of this study population was around 31 years, with a standard deviation of only 5 years. This study cases showed similar mean age, with non significant difference between the three groups. Regarding the gestational age of the study groups, group A showed a lower gestational age of about one week compared to group B and half a week compared to group C, however, all of these cases were in the "term" zone with a gestational age of more than 36 weeks
