The increased use of the electricity has given rise request for stable power providing and stable voltage. In an interconnected power system, power is being exchanged between areas over interconnecting tie lines. The desired objectives in this thesis are designing the area Automatic Generation Control (AGC) and keep the voltage using Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) in stable and suitable values. Simulation results proved the capability of the proposed controllers to Generation Rate Constraint (GRC) with small load as well as large disturbance. In this thesis, there are different kinds of PSO were introduced
