The inclusion of students labelled ADHD in general education schools has been usually made without sufficient attention to design issues. The aim of this research was to explore and determine a research-based framework for guidance of designing for students labelled ADHD. An exploratory mixed-method research of two phases was carried out. In the first phase, a substantive literature review was carried out to respond to the focus research- question.A theoretical framework was established to guide the development of a behavioural program, programming values and design guidelines. Then, in the second phase, a pilot cross-sectional descriptive study was implemented to validate the design guidelines drawn from analysing the literature and explore the situation in Egypt regarding children labelled ADHD and their accommodation in general education schools
