Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Institute of Statistical Studies and Research - Department of Biostatistics and Demography Summary: This study is designed to reveal levels and determinants of age at first marriage among Egyptian ever-married women aged 15 - 49 years and its effect on fertility as well as levels and determinants of fertility. A comprehensive analysis was undertaken using data from the EDHS 2008 and the EDHS 2014. The study illustrates the level and trend of age at first marriage and fertility according to some demographic and socio-economic characteristics. This study is, however, complement the existing literature by using another method that is newly applied to analyze the determinants of fertility with respect to marriage duration; which is the multivariate marital fertility model
