Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Geology Summary: The present study deals with geological mapping, petrographical, mineralogical, geochemical and radioactive studies. G. El-Sela area lies between Latitudes 22{u00B0} 13' 48'' and 22{u00B0} 18' 36'' N and Longitudes 36{u00B0} 10' 12'' and 36{u00B0} 18' 36'' E in the South Eastern Desert of Egypt . The detailed field observations detected the biotite granite and two-mica granite intrusions at G. El Sela area. These granites are dissected by microgranite, dolerite, bostonite dikes as well as three generations of quartz veins. Macroscopically, biotite granite consists mainly of plagioclase, K- feldspar, quartz and biotite. Two mica-granite is composed of quartz, K- feldspar, plagioclase, biotite and muscovite. Microgranite dikes are composed of quartz, K-feldspar, plagioclase, biotite, and muscovite. They are also extremely enriched in accessories especially zircon, pyrite cubes, radial uranophane, and opaque minerals. They are affected by different sorts of alteration such as flouritization, silicification, ferrugination and argillic alteration. Dolerite dikes are composed of plagioclase phenocrysts, pyroxene, hornblende and ferruginous material where crystals of plagioclase are partially altered to epidote, sa and stained by radioactive mineral (uranophane)
