All patients were exposed to chest trauma or polytrauma with chest involvement. Cases were referred to Emergency radiology unit in Kasr Al-Ainy hospital in the period from August 2015 to February 2016. Chest ultrasound is a bedside, reliable, dynamic, rapid, non- invasive technique and may be of a significant value in the diagnosis of complications of blunt and penetrating chest trauma. Our use of ultrasonography has allowed us to overcome the difficulties involved in radiological examination of small children and uncooperative patients, because it is based on a real-time approach with no time limits. As we had 6 children participating in the study (14.6%) with age range from 2 to 5 years
