This research begins with a brief introduction about the history and functions of museums before discussing three interactive approaches for enhancing the interpretational process inside museums. The three approaches are, the Hands-On, Participatory and Multisensory approach. The research also analyzes the three approaches in comparison with three international examples of museums that display their exhibits in an innovative interactive way. The research proposes an interactive plan for Mahmoud Mokhtar Museum in Cairo as an application that proves the research initial hypothesis
