The products from food animals slaughtered for meat may be divided into 4 categories, the first being meat (high- value product), the second is inedible components which can be used for industrial purposes (for example, hides, bones, hooves, and blood), the third is low-value components (offal and meat meal), and, last, items of no useful purpose (for example wool slip, digestive tract content, effluents) which are disposed of as waste. In Egypt and Sudan; the major problem in this study is most of slaughterhouse's wastes has clients; they take wastes day by day except blood, especially after appearance of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy disease (Mad Cow disease). Approximately 62500 tons of slaughterhouse waste blood is produced per year in Egypt and 107800 tons in Sudan, therefore, these quantities are a large challenge to implement improved management practices.
