Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Physics Summary: The present work is a theoretical study of some properties of heavy, superheavy and hyperheavy nuclei, namely, their binding energies, matter and charge density distributions, deformations and Ü-decay half-lives. We study the effects of nucleus radius, central depression parameter and deformation parameters on different energy contributions. The total energy is minimized with respect to the nucleons density distribution parameters and binding energy is obtained for some heavy, superheavy and hyperheavy nuclei. The binding energies obtained agree with experimental ones with difference less than 0.13%. The effect of nucleons density distribution parameters on Ü-decay half-lives and Ü-preformation probabilities are studied in the framework of the preformed cluster model. We compared the results obtained using parameterized density with the corresponding results obtained from nuclear densities derived from Hartree-Fock calculation. Based on the performed study, we recommend to use directly the nuclear densities obtained from the self consistent HF-calculation, or at least to use analytical formulae with parameters obtained from realistic densities
