Limited numbers of studies were published from Middle Eastern countries on the eruption age of teeth. Therefore, the information utilized in the academic and clinical situation on the eruption time of teeth in Middle Eastern countries is still based on American and European standards (Khan ;2011).so in this study we decided to investigate the eruption ages and sequence Objectives To determine the eruption dates of primary and permanent teeth in a group of children in north Sinai Governorate in addition determining the sequence of eruption of primary & permanent teeth in a group of children in north Sinai Governorate and to correlate between chronological and developmental age of eruption of primary teeth& permanent teeth in a group of children in north Sinai Governorate.Methods A sample of 2000 Egyptian children (1000 child with primary teeth 500 boys and 500 girls aged from 4-36 months and 1000 child with permanent teeth 500 boys and 500 girls aged from 5y-12y). The children were taken from outpatient clinic in paediatric departments of Sinai university in addition to schools in al ARISH ( Amr Ebn El as,Massed,Fayourz,AbuBakr El Sedek) and medical health unit in north Sinai governmental. Results In this study the results showed that the first primary tooth to erupt was the lower central incisor in boys and its mean age of eruption was 1.3 year while in girls first teeth to erupt is upper lateral incisor and its mean age1.2 year. In permanent teeth the first tooth to erupt was the lower first molar and its mean age of eruption was 5.70 years in boys and girls 7.55. Conclusion Sequence and dates of eruption of primary and permanent teeth are different in Egyptian children than that of other countries, sequence of eruption in primary and permanent differ in boys than girls
