Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Chemical Engineering Summary: The fine wall and floor powder wastes out of the cyclone are incorporated in the raw wall and floor mixes in the range of (0-50)% wt, slabs samples prepared uniaxially pressed at 25 Mpa, dried at 70{u00B0}C, and fired at three different temperatures which are 1000{u00B0}C, 1050{u00B0}C, and 1100{u00B0}C for wall tiles, while floor tiles are at 1050{u00B0}C, 1100{u00B0}C , and 1150{u00B0}C, with soaking time 15 minutes. The powders, green and fired slaps were investigated through different tests, finally obtaining the optimum percentage of replacement with its firing temperature that are satisfied to ISO (13006:2012) limits are 20% wall powder waste replacement in wall mix with firing temperature of 1000{u00B0}C for tiles water absorption (E > 10%), 10% floor powder waste replacement in floor mix with firing temperature of 1050{u00B0}C for tiles water absorption (E > 10%), and less than 40% floor tiles waste replacement in floor mix with firing temperature of 1100{u00B0}C for tiles water absorption 6% < E {u2264} 10%
