Pseudo Acanthosis nigricans is a common dermatological disorder that is difficult to treat, occurs secondary to maceration of the skin from excessive sweating, or in obese adults who have dark complexions, or in association with endocrine disorders. It presents clinically as thickened hyper pigmented plaques typically on the intertriginous surfaces and the neck, Its prevalence depends on races. Fractional photothermolysis has been reported to improve both the pigmentary and textural changes by removing thin layers of skin with minimal thermal damage.Chemical peelings represent accelerated exfoliation or skin damage induced by caustic agents that cause controlled damage, followed by the release of cytokines and inflammatory mediators which result in an improved clinical appearance of the skin, with fewer rhytides and decreased pigmentary dyschromia. Objective: To determine whether fractional CO₂ laser resurfacing or glycolic acid peel is more effective and safe treatment for pseudoacanthosis nigricans. Methods : Twenty Egyptian patient older than 18 years old were included in to the study where Each Patient will be subjected to three session of fractional CO₂ laser with the following adjustment : Power 10 W, Spacing 500æm , dwell 500 æs, Stack 2 On one side of the nape of the neck and the other side of the nape of the neck will be subjected to three session of glycolic acid peel 70 %. People more prone for post peel and post laser hazards eg. Hyperpigmentation , scaring , keloids were excluded
