Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Engineering - Department of Electronics and Communication
In the presented work, matched filter and Bi-orthogonal wavelet network techniques are used for implementing iris recognition system. Five different standard databases are used to test that system, also same technique used for solving non ideal cases. The results were compared with previous work. Also, the results were compared with results from daugman approach which implemented in the presented work. The algorithm shows a great efficiency in finding an optimum recognition rate for the known five standard iris databases in reasonable time. Thus, the algorithm shown to be ready for application on real world problems
