Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Institute of Statistical Studies and Research - Department of Statistical Quality Control and Quality Assurance
The main objective of this dissertation is to study a way to continuous improvement through The 20 Keys approach which improve 20 different but interrelated aspects all of which are addressed at once, and ensuring that major targeted improvements don't fail for lack of necessary support in related areas. In today's fast-changing industrial world, improvement initiatives in all parts of the world suggest that the organizations want to stay profitable need to become masters of improvement initiatives. The failures can pay improvement process forward, as happened in Japan after World War II, the word (made in Japan) mean low quality, and then Japan becomes the source of quality initiatives and exported the improvement system to all over the world so to countries that learned of them quality, the United States of America. Continuous improvement is an important concept describing an activity that never seems to end. To survive, companies must continually set and strive toward a variety of new goals. Furthermore, even though improvement can be endless, companies need targets for evaluation of past work and preparation for future work. Taking the improvement initiative before the need to improve becomes a skill that distinguishes victor from victim. The organizations that have adopted continuous improvement as a way of doing business find themselves able to adapt to an unpredictable world, and they can find opportunities where they never even thought of searching. As Nokia lose its venerable market position, and allowing companies like Apple and Samsung to establish them-selves. In the first chapter, there will be an introduction about continuous improvement
