Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine - Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Summary: This study was designed with the aim of evaluating the efficiency of 3D miniplate via transbuccl and extraoral approach in fixation of mandibular angle and /body fracture. The criteria of patient{u2019}s selection was based on: Adult patients suffering from mandibular fractures requiring open reduction and internal fixation. Unilateral or bilateral fractures of mandibular body, and/or angle fracture. Exclusion of mixed symphyseal and condylar fractures. Exclusion of comminuted mandibular fractures. Evaluation was based upon clinical and radiographic examinations
