The relationship between public debt and economic growth has long been a hot subject of debate amongst economists, practitioners and academics. Motivated by a series of studies that have attempted at at identifying the effects of public debt on economic growth, and in particular stimulated by Reinhart's and Rogoff's recent study,the current one attempts to examine this same relationship on the middle east and north Africa (MENA) region
