Microobots have the potential to be used in various medical applications. Targeted drug delivery can be accomplished by coating microrobots with drugs and controlling their motion to reach the sperified diseased cells. However, the small size of magnetic microrobots (<500 æm) causes difficlty in their locomotion due to the relatively large electromagnets needed to supply enough magnetic field gradient to pull them. This thesis proposes a locomotion mechanism based on driving microrobots using weak oscillating magntic fields
