Discovery of novel biomarkers is critical for early diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD). Recent advances in metabolomic technologies have drastically enhanced our understanding of the mechanisms involved in the progression of the disease through the identification of dpecific metabolites displaying levels and their associative metablic pathways.
