Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Anatomy and Embryology Summary: Amiodarone is highly effective in controlling cardiac arrhythmias. The present study was performed to investigate the possible histological and histomorphometric changes of the lung of adult male albino rat following amiodarone administration and to find out the possible protective role of vitamin E. The present study concluded that amiodarone had marked toxic effects on the lung of adult albino rat and that vitamin E could partially protect the lung against such effects. Also sessation of amiodarone didn{u2019}t lead to complete lung recovery
