The purpose of this thesis is to examine the position of women held in the old kingdom of ancient Egypt. The researcher will construct the real image of women from the materials referring to the legal activities, especially, imyt-pr (will). The seven wills will be examined; they are from the tombs of metjen (MTn), Khenemti ($nmti), nekure (Ni-kAw-ra), pepi (Ppi) and buto (Bwt), Nikaankh(Ni-kA-anx), kaemnefert (KA-m-nfrt) and penmeru Pn-mrw
