Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Oncology (Clinical) Summary: Colon cancer remains a major health problemand representsthe third cause of cancer- related death, worldwide. We did this study, which wasa retrospective study on 142 cases of non-metastatic colon cancer treated at NEMROK and Fayoum University Hospital revealed that mean age at presentation was 48.8 years old , male/female was 39.4 /60.6 , 40.1% of cases present at stage IIa , intestinal obstruction was in 32.4% of cases ,inadequate lymph node resection in 48.6%, lymphovascular invasion not reported in 95.1%, and disease free survival mean was 18.8 months. Need for combined pretreatment assessment with surgeons and pathologists
