Minimally invasive spine surgery offers the benefits of decreased postoperative pain and disruption of normal anatomy, and the latter leads to shorter hospital stays. Proficiency requires intensive courses, to acquire the necessary surgical experience to perform these elegant yet at times complex procedures. The day case procedure is a patient who is admitted, has a procedure performed and is discharged the same day and does not stay overnight in the hospital. Objective: Efficient and easier achievement of the surgical objective with decreased risks related to the procedure, superior short-term and/or more durable long-term outcomes and quicker recovery
