Dissertation note: Thesis (PH.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty Of Veterinary Medicine - Department Of Microbiology , Bacteriology , Mycology and Immunology Summary: Serum samples were used for detecting Brucella antibodies (Rose Bengal plate test) and assaying progesterone levels (ELISA) All swabs were inoculated onto tryptic soy broth then streaked onto Nutrient agar plates as well as onto MacConkey agar plates Bacterial profile in the genital tract was monitored during the different stages of the reproductive cycle Also , twenty animals suffering from ovarian inactivity were bacteriologically examined before and after treatment using PMSG (Folligon®) and sodium dibasic phosphate Antibiotics sensitivity was carried out against the predominant isolates using broad spectrum antibiotics
