Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - National Cancer Institute- Department of Anesthesia and Pain Relief Summary: The role of combined cementoplasty and bony radiofrequency in relief of intractable pain and disability in terminal cancer patients. The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of combined cementoplasty and bony radiofrequency thermal ablation in palliation of intractable pain and disability in cancer patients with bone metastases. In conclusion; combined bony radiofrequency thermal ablation and cementoplasty is a safe and effective approach that provides excellent pain relief, reduction of disability and allows a significant reduction of the dose of analgesics received by cancer patients suffering from bone metastases

The role of combined cementoplasty and bony radiofrequency in relief of intractable pain and disability in terminal cancer patients. The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of combined cementoplasty and bony radiofrequency thermal ablation in palliation of intractable pain and disability in cancer patients with bone metastases. In conclusion; combined bony radiofrequency thermal ablation and cementoplasty is a safe and effective approach that provides excellent pain relief, reduction of disability and allows a significant reduction of the dose of analgesics received by cancer patients suffering from bone metastases
