Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Pharmacy - Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Different methods for the determination of some antiviral drugs, in pure form, alone or in ternary mixtures, in the presence of their acid degradation products and in pharmaceutical preparations, have been developed in this thesis. These drugs are Daclatasvir, Entecavir, Lamivudine, Zidovudine, Nevirapine, Abacavir and Penciclovir. Chromatographic part included the determination of Entecavir in pure form and in the presence of its acid degradation product, the determination of (Lamivudine, Zidovudine and Nevirapine), (lamivudine, Zidovudine and Abacavir) in pure form, in the ternary mixture and in the presence of their acid degradation products. Also, Daclatasvir was determined in pure form by the chromatographic method. Spectrophotometric part included the determination of Daclatasvir using zero-order method and the determination of Entecavir by derivative spectrophotometric method in the presence of its acid degradation product. Also, spectrophotometric part included two spectrofluorimetric methods for the determination of both Entecavir and Penciclovir. Statistical comparison between the results obtained by the proposed methods and the reported methods was carried out
